Read the Stories:

last time we spoke

Tribhuvantaha Prabhu and myself have a friendship going back to the seventies. We spent time preaching and traveling in the Middle East, Ireland and Africa.

Tribhuvanatha was always an adventurer and a front man for Lord Caitanya's sankirtan mission. Always completely fearless and always depending on the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and krishna.

I had been regularly talking with him by phone prior to his leaving for Brazil. I could detect a sadness in his voice as he new that he didn't have long to live, and all his attempts to cure the desease were not working. He spoke as usual about Srila Prabhupada and a lot about his Godbrothers and sisters, who he was very concerned about in recent times. He had worked very hard trying to resolve many differnet issues and problems. This was in addition to his tireless endeavors at putting on festivals in England, Africa and Ireland. He worked extremely hard and long to spread the message of the Holy Names.

He would love to tell his animated and often amusing stories about his experiences with Srila Prabhupada and how Prabhupada encouraged him as a young lad to preach and chant. His kirtan would reach ecstatic levels at times and he would chant for hours on end seemingly tireless. Despite having a debilitating desease he would continue with kirtan and preaching, despite feeling personal pain or discomfort.
