A letter to my God-Brother

Hare KRSNA Tribhuvannatha das.

PAMHO. AGTSP.

When I first heard you were ill,I marvelled at the way you coped with it. When I heard that you had left your mortal body, I cried.

My mind went back to the first time that I met you in 1970. [That was several weeks before Rathayatra]. I came to the Temple in Bury Place because Pritha dd invited me to her wedding to Digvajaya d. I worked in a stationery shop and Pritha dd came in to buy 100 paper plates. In those days no one purchased that many at one time.

I came along and you introduced me to Paul [who later became Purnanada d] and 48 hrs later both Paul and I joined the temple. I came from a very Karmi Christian background and when you showed me where I was to sleep [on the floor] and gave me a sleeping bag and no pillow I protested but you assured me it was only KRSNA\'s mercy that allowed me to have the luxury of a place to sleep and something to cover me.

In those days I had many problems from my parents, but your advice to me was always sound. It was you that taught me to play Kartal\'s [I could never master Mdrunga] and it was you that encouraged me in my chanting.

The last time I saw you was 3 yrs ago in London but I didn\'t get a chance to speak to you because you were speaking to other devotees. I thought I would have the opportunity at a later date. Please forgive me for that. Your association gave me great comfort.

While I am saddened because I cannot see you, I am gladdened that you are now serving Our Beloved Srila Prabhupada. You are no longer seperated from His Lotus Feet. I pray that one day I may be as fortunate as you.

Your humble servant and God-Brother by His grace.
